The 2nd Letter of Paul to Timothy
2nd Tim. 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2nd Tim. 1:2 to Timothy, my dearly beloved son: grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
2nd Tim. 1:3 I thank God, who I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without stopping I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;
2nd Tim. 1:4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
2nd Tim. 1:5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am convinced that in you also.
2nd Tim. 1:6 Therefore I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on of my hands.
2nd Tim. 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2nd Tim. 1:8 Therefore be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
2nd Tim. 1:9 who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before measured time began,
2nd Tim. 1:10 but is now made apparent through the manifestation of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished the death, and has brought the life and immortality to light through the gospel:
2nd Tim. 1:11 to which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the nations.
2nd Tim. 1:12 For which reason I also suffer these things: nevertheless, I am not ashamed: for I know who I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that day.
2nd Tim. 1:13 Hold fast the pattern of healthy words, which you have heard by me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
2nd Tim. 1:14 That good deposit entrusted to you, guard through the Holy Spirit who is at home in us.
2nd Tim. 1:15 This you know that all they which are in Asia turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
2nd Tim. 1:16 The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
2nd Tim. 1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
2nd Tim. 1:18 The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he served in Ephesus, you know very well.
2nd Tim. 2:1 Therefore, my son, be vitalized in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2nd Tim. 2:2 The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be adequate to teach others also.
2nd Tim. 2:3 You now then suffer evil as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2nd Tim. 2:4 No man that wars entangles himself with the business of his livelihood; that he may please him who has enlisted him.
2nd Tim. 2:5 And if anyone contends as an athlete, yet he is not crowned, unless he contends lawfully.
2nd Tim. 2:6 The laboring farmer must be first to partake of the fruits.
2nd Tim. 2:7 Consider what I say, and the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
2nd Tim. 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ out of the seed of David was raised out from the dead according to my gospel:
2nd Tim. 2:9 for which I suffer evil, even to bonds as an evil worker; but the word of God has not been bound.
2nd Tim. 2:10 Therefore I am enduring all things for the elect’s sakes that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with infinite glory.
2nd Tim. 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we died together, we will also live together:
2nd Tim. 2:12 if we are persevering, we will be reigning also: if we are denying, He will also be denying us:
2nd Tim. 2:13 if we are disbelieving, that One is remaining faithful: He cannot be rejecting Himself.
2nd Tim. 2:14 Of these things remind them, charging them before the Lord that they contend not about words to no profit, but to the ruin of the hearers.
2nd Tim. 2:15 Be diligent to show yourself certified by God, a workman that does not need to be disgraced, cutting straight the word of reality.
2nd Tim. 2:16 But shun profane and idle babblings: for they will increase to more ungodliness.
17 And their word will take hold and spread like an infection: of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2nd Tim. 2:18 who concerning the reality have missed the goal, saying that the resurrection already happened; and undermining the faith of some.
2nd Tim. 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, the Lord knew them that are His. And let everyone that names the name of Christ stand apart from unrighteousness.
2nd Tim. 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earthen; and some into honor, and some into disgrace.
2nd Tim. 2:21 Therefore if anyone rid themselves from these, they will be vessels for honor, consecrated, and profitable for the master’s use, and prepared for every good work.
2nd Tim. 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: now follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
2nd Tim. 2:23 But foolish and ignorant questions disallow, knowing that they create battles.
2nd Tim. 2:24 And the slave of the Lord must not be combatant; but be gentle to all men, able to teach, patient,
2nd Tim. 2:25 in meekness instructing those that opposing; if God will perhaps give them repentance into the full knowledge of the reality;
2nd Tim. 2:26 and that they may return to sober mindedness out of the snare of the Devil, who are entrapped by him into his will.
2nd Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days terrifying times will come.
2nd Tim. 3:2 For men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2nd Tim. 3:3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, without self-control, untamed, despisers of those that are good,
2nd Tim. 3:4 traitors, reckless, blinded with pride, pleasure-lovers more than God-lovers;
2nd Tim. 3:5 holding an external godliness, but denying the power Himself: turn away from these.
2nd Tim. 3:6 For these are they which sneak into homes, and dominate little housewives overwhelmed with sins, led along with manifold sexual desires,
2nd Tim. 3:7 always learning, and not even able to come to the full knowledge of the reality.
2nd Tim. 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the reality: men of depraved minds, unapproved concerning the faith.
2nd Tim. 3:9 But they will advance no further: for their folly will be manifest to all men, as theirs also was.
2nd Tim. 3:10 But you have fully known my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,
2nd Tim. 3:11 persecutions, afflictions, which came to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
2nd Tim. 3:12 Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
2nd Tim. 3:13 But evil men and charlatans will grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
2nd Tim. 3:14 But you continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
2nd Tim. 3:15 and that from a newborn you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise into salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2nd Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is God breathing, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2nd Tim. 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped fully for every good work.
2nd Tim. 4:1 I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to be judging the living and the dead at His full manifestation and His kingdom;
2nd Tim. 4:2 preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching.
2nd Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching; but after their own lusts will they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2nd Tim. 4:4 and they will turn away their ears from the reality, and will be turned to fables.
2nd Tim. 4:5 But watch you in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
2nd Tim. 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
2nd Tim. 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the faith:
2nd Tim. 4:8 After this there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, who the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love His full manifestation.
2nd Tim. 4:9 Be diligent to come to me soon:
2nd Tim. 4:10 for Demas has deserted me, loving this present age, and is departed to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
2nd Tim. 4:11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with you: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
2nd Tim. 4:12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
2nd Tim. 4:13 The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when you come, bring with you, and the books, but especially the parchments.
2nd Tim. 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord will repay him according to his works:
2nd Tim. 4:15 of whom be on guard also; for he has greatly resisted our words.
2nd Tim. 4:16 At my first defense no man stood together with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be counted against them.
2nd Tim. 4:17 Nonetheless the Lord stood with me, and inwardly strengthened me; that through me the preaching might be thoroughly fulfilled, and that all the nations might hear: and I was rescued out of the lion’s mouth.
2nd Tim. 4:18 For the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me to His heavenly kingdom: to Whom be the glory for this age and the New Covenant Age. Amen!
2nd Tim. 4:19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
2nd Tim. 4:20 Erastus stayed at Corinth: but Trophimus I left at Miletus sick.
2nd Tim. 4:21 Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brothers.
2nd Tim. 4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen!
