    The 2nd Letter of Paul to the Thessalonians

    Chapter 1

    2nd Thess. 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the Assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

    2nd Thess. 1:2 grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    2nd Thess. 1:3 We are constrained to be thanking God at all times for you, brothers, as it is proper, because your faith is flourishing abundantly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another is increasing;

    2nd Thess. 1:4 so that we ourselves glory in you in the Assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and the tribulation that you endure:

    2nd Thess. 1:5 which is a manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

    2nd Thess. 1:6 seeing it is a righteous thing for God to pay with tribulation them that afflict you;

    2nd Thess. 1:7 and to you who are afflicted rest with us, in the unveiling of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His mighty angels,

    2nd Thess. 1:8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that do not know God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2nd Thess. 1:9 who will pay the punishment of perpetual ruin away from the Presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power;

    2nd Thess. 1:10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints, and to be a wonder in all them that believe because our testimony among you was believed in that day.

    2nd Thess. 1:11 Therefore also we pray at all times for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith in power:

    2nd Thess. 1:12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Chapter 2

    2nd Thess. 2:1 Now we urge you, brothers, regarding the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,

    2nd Thess. 2:2 that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as if from us, that the day of the Lord is present.

    2nd Thess. 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means: for that day will not come, unless there come the apostasy first, and the men of sin unveiled, the sons of perdition;

    2nd Thess. 2:4 opposing and exalting themselves above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that they like God, take their seat in the temple of God, exhibiting themselves that they are God.

    2nd Thess. 2:5 Do you not remember, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

    2nd Thess. 2:6 And now you know what restrains that they might be unveiled in their season.

    2nd Thess. 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness does already work: only he who presently restrains will do so, until they begin to come out of the midst.

    2nd Thess. 2:8 Then will the lawless ones be exposed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of His mouth and will render useless with the full manifestation of His Presence:

    2nd Thess. 2:9 even them, whose presence is according to the activity of Satan with all power and signs and pseudo wonders,

    2nd Thess. 2:10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the reality, that they might be saved.

    2nd Thess. 2:11 For this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie:

    2nd Thess. 2:12 that they all may be judged who believed not the reality but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

    2nd Thess. 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning into salvation in sanctification of spirit and faith in the reality:

    2nd Thess. 2:14 to which He called you through our gospel, to the acquiring of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    2nd Thess. 2:15 Therefore, brothers, stand fast, and hold to the things which were handed down to you and which you have been taught, whether by word, or our letter.

    2nd Thess. 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and has given us perpetual comfort and good hope through grace,

    2nd Thess. 2:17 comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

    Chapter 3

    2nd Thess. 3:1 Finally, brothers, pray continually for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is among you:

    2nd Thess. 3:2 that we may be delivered from abnormal and evil men: for all men do not have faith.

    2nd Thess. 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who is establishing you, and holding you close, away from evil.

    2nd Thess. 3:4 And we are convinced in the Lord regarding you, the things which we command, you are doing and will do.

    2nd Thess. 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the persevering for Christ.

    2nd Thess. 3:6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the things which were given, which you received from us.

    2nd Thess. 3:7 For yourselves know how you ought to imitate us: for we did not behave ourselves disorderly among you;

    2nd Thess. 3:8 neither did we eat any man’s bread for nothing; but labored in toil and hard labor night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you:

    2nd Thess. 3:9 not because we have no right, but to make ourselves an example for you to imitate us.

    2nd Thess. 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded this to you, that if any will not work, neither should he eat.

    2nd Thess. 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, not working at all, but are meddlers.

    2nd Thess. 3:12 Now we order them that are so and urge by our Lord Jesus Christ, that having tranquility, they labor for their own bread and eat.

    2nd Thess. 3:13 But you, brothers, do not be discouraged in doing good.

    2nd Thess. 3:14 And if anyone does not obey our word by this letter, mark this one, and do not mingle with him, that he may be ashamed.

    2nd Thess. 3:15 Yet count them not as an enemy, but reprimand as a brother.

    2nd Thess. 3:16 Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.

    2nd Thess. 3:17 The greeting of Paul with my own hand, which is the sign in every letter: so I write.

    2nd Thess. 3:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
